 Lisa
Machado is a Family Nurse Practitioner who joined the
practice in 2020. She was born and raised in Florida and
moved to the Sacramento area in the mid nineties. She
received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Public
Health Nurse certificate at Chico State University. She
received her Masters of Science in nursing and her
Family Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of
Phoenix. She also completed her Neonatal Nurse
Practitioner training at Regis University in Colorado
and is board certified. Lisa's prior experience includes
working as a registered nurse in the neonatal unit of
Dignity Health and as a transport nurse working with
premature and critically ill newborns.
Lisa is married and enjoys living on a farm where she
raises chicken and ducks. She also enjoys growing
vegetables and fruit trees. In her spare time she loves
finding estate sales and doing metal stamping with her
husband.
Her special interests in the area of Pediatrics include
preterm infant care, managing pediatric dermatological
conditions as well as pediatric nutrition and obesity.
She is affiliated with the Sigma Theta Tau International
Honor Society of Nursing, California Nurses Association
(CNA), California Association of Nurse Practitioners
(CANP) and the American Association of Critical Care
Nurses (AACN).
